Snow Daze

Today was a snow day for the kids. Henry came home from work early and they all headed out to "help" shovel the driveway - "We promise we're going to help, dad :o)" Wasn't long and Henry was on his own and the kids were busy with their snow angels, trucks etc.... They had a great time!!

This is just about all Reeve did outside - whether sitting or laying, she had her tongue sticking out to catch snowflakes the entire time. Didn't cry, wouldn't smile.. just enjoying the snow :o)

8 Months Old

Reeve is 8 months old today - already!! Where has the time gone? She is a wonderfully happy and smiley little girl. She is a talker already and "jibbers" all day. She has been an absolute joy, we love her more and more and are so thankful for her. She is almost sitting up and is on the verge of crawling. She's a busy girl, so I imagine once she's mobile, she'll be all over the place!!

Every year we try to get in some tobogganing time at Grandma Jordan's house during the Christmas holidays. They live across from the perfect toboggan hill and we all have so much fun. Even Opa joined us - 85 years old and still in there like a dirty shirt!

Oh Christmas Tree...

This is the first year that we got a real Christmas tree. We decided to go to a farm where you can pick out and cut down your own. They had an adorable little sled for Reeve to sit in. The sun was already down, so it was very, very cold...brrr...but so much fun!!! They handed out candy canes which the kids thought was great (first one of the season is always very exciting :o)This will definately be something we take the kids to do every year.

My favourite shirt

Well.... I knew the day was coming. It was my favourite. It was a few sizes too big, covered in paint stains, the cuffs hanging on my a thread, zipper broken, washed till it was thread bare and thin ...anybody else have one of these kind of shirts? Maybe a favourite hat? Pants? PJ's? The one thing you put on when you were sad, want to be comfy, etc... Well, I threw out my favourite shirt today. I have tried several times in the past but have always gone and dug it out again. I'm hoping this post will be therapeutic -perhaps I will look back it whenever I fell the need...either way...it was a tough thing to do :o)

On a beautiful day in October, our friend Lisa Rohrer took some family pictures for us. They were taken at Waterworks Park. Considering we were there for two and a half hours, the kids did really great!!

Out Walkin'

While the other kids were at school today, Henry and I walked downtown to do a couple of errands. We bundled Reeve up and she just loved it. With all that fresh air she was asleep by the time we headed back home.
